New web-based system improves support delivery by 86%

Paper-based application forms for client assistance were slowing down the work of COBSEO and its umbrella charities significantly. We created a robust, web-based application which is highly secure and easily accessible by all organisations, employees and volunteers. The bespoke casework management system supports over 100 of COBSEO's member organisations, helping 6,000 volunteers process 158,000 cases.

Casework applications are how the umbrella charities of COBSEO assess the needs of and provide assistance for thousands of claimants. The previous postal applications were costing valuable time and money. COBSEO required an intuitive system that would be simple enough for those who had never used computers before to access.

We created a web-based system to streamline processes, provide increased visibility for multiple agencies

and reduce casework management resolution time. With up to 7,000 end users from potentially over 150 separate organisations needing to access the application, from a number of computing environments, it was important to provide a secure, reliable and resilient hosted service.

Our bespoke system means that servicemen and women and their families are receiving support faster than ever before. Annuities are being paid to clients in 2 days instead of 2 weeks. Payment of priority debt in 4 days rather than 2 weeks and a response to one assistance request can be completed in 12 minutes.
