We created a secure, web-enabled system that was integrated with mobile devices and could give a ‘single view’ of risk to stakeholders, regardless of how complicated the situation was. And we're delighted that the application won Insurance Software Award 2016 at the Commercial Insurance Awards and was shortlisted for Technological Innovation of the Year at the European Risk Management Awards 2016.
A recent acquisition meant RSA had not only expanded but had substantial growth plans. The bigger business meant that the old system they used for storing and reporting data, which used programmes like Excel, Access and Word, was simply not of a high enough quality to meet the business’ new requirements. There was also a need to eliminate inconsistencies in approach to risk assessments and reduce the burden on IT from different devices and operating systems being used globally.
We worked closely with the client to understand the specific needs of the insurance business now, and for the future. We developed a secure, web-enabled system that could be shared with all stakeholders on a mobile device. This eliminated the need for common hardware and operating systems in different countries. Users now input, monitor and report data from anywhere, and in real-time. The system was developed in ASP.NET with SQL Server.
Many of the system’s users are Risk Managers, who can effectively now work on the go, wherever they are. This means that customers can now view their detailed risk information in real-time enabling them to make commercial decisions faster. Through the customer portal, clients have the ability to instantly visualise the real difference to risk ratings from implementing risk improvements.
