Business Development Manager

London £35k- £45K Basic, £95,000 OTE

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, ambitious Business Development Manager to join our team. As our new Business Development Manager you should be a self-starter with a solid background in IT, preferably software sales.  You will actively seek out new business opportunities and be able to negotiate with poise and persuasion.  Comfortable working at Director and C-level you will develop an understanding of customers' business needs, and apply a keen understanding of our solutions and services to meet those needs.

Full training will be given on our bespoke solutions and you will be confident in leading the sales process from initial inquiry to close. Verbal and written English has got to be second to none.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain appropriate records of all pipeline and sales activity in
  • Meet and exceed sales objectives by understanding customers’ diverse, specific business needs and applying bespoke solutions knowledge
  • Work in collaboration with Development and Operations teams to put together detailed customer proposals

Essential expertise

  • A computer-based degree with a keen interest in the technology industry, including trends.
  • A proven track record of IT Sales achievement
  • Understand the difference between product sales and bespoke software sales
  • Commercially aware with the ability to keep multiple complex transactions and relationships on track concurrently
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Desire to exceed targets
  • Willingness and ability to generate own leads
  • Must be willing to travel


  • Ability to identify improvements to sales and client management processes and confidence to recommend and where appropriate see them through
  • Ability to contribute new ideas to the sales and marketing function to improve lead generation and opportunity management.

Graduate Developer Exeter Based

£18,000 - £25,000 depending on experience

Python, JAVA, SQL, C#, .NET, VB,
You will either be in your final year having studied a Computer related degree or have graduated and been working for the last two years. You will be able to demonstrate a solid knowledge of programming principles used in languages such as Python.

.NET / SQL (C# or VB) Developer - Exeter

We need an enthusiastic .NET Developer to join our dynamic and expanding team. You will be working on bespoke software so will need to embrace our fast paced and varied environment. You will be customer facing and enjoy working on exciting projects and directly involved in delivering system and app developments to some of our high profile clients

As a .Net/SQL developer you will be working on a range of client projects, taking responsibility at all stages, from working with customers to design a solution through to hands on C# or VB .Net development and unit testing.

Do you have:

  • Expert knowledge of .NET development within a commercial environment (in either C# or VB)
  • SQL Server experience
  • Solid experience of ASP.NET MVC
  • Knowledge of RDBMS
  • JavaScript experience

Ideally (but not essentially) you will also have:

  • Azure
  • Xamarin
  • Salesforce
  • Power BI
  • Knowledge of SSRS and SSIS
  • Any of the following development skills would be advantageous: Android, iOS, HTML5, CRM Dynamics, Java, PHP, C++, Delphi, BizTalk or SharePoint
  • Experience with UI/UX development or design
  • MCSD and ITIL qualifications or be studying towards them

Skills and personal development:

Lead Test Analyst

Manual, QA, ISTQB, XHTML, XML, JavaScript, C#, SQL, Exeter

£23,000 - £28,000 depending on experience + paid overtime, training budget & flexible working.

We are currently looking to recruit a Lead Test Analyst to join our team as they embark on new and existing projects.  You will be responsible for conducting a full life cycle QA, testing new bespoke systems and a portfolio of systems we support plus will be a mentor and team leader.

Skills and Experience

  • Commercial testing experience in XHTML, XML, JavaScript, C#, SQL and similar web technologies
  • MS Windows, MS Office, Internet Explorer and using simple SQL to interrogate databases.
  • Your testing expertise must cover windows and web based applications.
  • Prior experience working as part of an Agile and/or Waterfall software development team.
  • You should be a dynamic, clear and a flexible thinker with the ability to understand and communicate highly complex issues.
  • You will be diligent with a focus on detail and accuracy and an ability to work on multiple projects with good communication skills. You must be organised and good at time management.
  • Outstanding oral and written English are essential even when working under time pressure
