Business Development Manager

London £35k- £45K Basic, £95,000 OTE

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, ambitious Business Development Manager to join our team. As our new Business Development Manager you should be a self-starter with a solid background in IT, preferably software sales.  You will actively seek out new business opportunities and be able to negotiate with poise and persuasion.  Comfortable working at Director and C-level you will develop an understanding of customers' business needs, and apply a keen understanding of our solutions and services to meet those needs.

Full training will be given on our bespoke solutions and you will be confident in leading the sales process from initial inquiry to close. Verbal and written English has got to be second to none.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain appropriate records of all pipeline and sales activity in
  • Meet and exceed sales objectives by understanding customers’ diverse, specific business needs and applying bespoke solutions knowledge
  • Work in collaboration with Development and Operations teams to put together detailed customer proposals

Essential expertise

  • A computer-based degree with a keen interest in the technology industry, including trends.
  • A proven track record of IT Sales achievement
  • Understand the difference between product sales and bespoke software sales
  • Commercially aware with the ability to keep multiple complex transactions and relationships on track concurrently
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Desire to exceed targets
  • Willingness and ability to generate own leads
  • Must be willing to travel


  • Ability to identify improvements to sales and client management processes and confidence to recommend and where appropriate see them through
  • Ability to contribute new ideas to the sales and marketing function to improve lead generation and opportunity management.

.NET / SQL (C# or VB) Developer

Exeter paying up to £42k

Expert knowledge: .NET development within a commercial environment (in either C# or VB) / SQL Server experience / Solid experience of ASP.NET MVC / Knowledge of RDBMS / JavaScript experience

An enthusiastic .NET Developer is required to join our dynamic and expanding software house. You will be working on bespoke software so will need to embrace our fast paced and varied environment.  You will be paired with an experienced mentor and be supported and encouraged to professionally develop.

As a .Net/SQL developer you will be working on a range of client projects, taking responsibility at all stages, from working with customers to design a solution through to hands on C# or VB .Net development and unit testing.

Desirable knowledge:

  • Azure
  • Xamarin
  • Salesforce
  • Power BI
  • Knowledge of SSRS and SSIS
  • PHP, C++, Delphi, BizTalk or SharePoint
  • Experience with UI/UX development or design

Skills and personal development:

  • You will be an excellent trouble-shooter, debugger and critical thinker
  • Have great communication skills, be organised to demonstrate the ability to multi-task
  • Be great at building relationships and a good team player
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of software product design and development, including keeping up to date with new development languages and design methodologies
  • Take responsibility and show initiative in areas of own professional development and learning


Salary for this role is up to £42k depending on experience, plus our excellent benefits package which includes flexible/home working, training budget, paid over time when authorised, company bonus scheme and loyalty bonus options to increase your benefits package in the long term.

Project Manager

Exeter paying up to £36,000

Technical Project Manager, Business Analyst, User Stories, Use Cases, Agile, Waterfall, Bespoke Software, Supplier environment, .net – Exeter, salary up to £36,000 + benefits

Ideally you will have come from a Business Analyst background and be looking to move into a more Project Manager focused role. Working collaboratively in a team of Project Managers, Business Analysts and Client Service Managers you will deliver several concurrent projects to time, budget and quality standard. You will need to demonstrate successful project delivery ideally in a supplier/software house environment using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies. We require you to be client facing, highly organised and a strong leader.
