Software Solved is thrilled to announce that Children’s Hospice South West will be their charity partner for 2019/20.
After an employee poll, Software Solved decided to dedicate their fundraising efforts throughout the rest of 2019, until April 2020.
Children’s Hospice South West is a charity that provides palliative, respite, end of life, and bereavement care for life-limited and terminally ill children and their families from the South West region. For more than 25 years they have been caring for children with life-threatening conditions by providing children’s hospice care for children and young people with life-limiting conditions. The care offered at each of their three hospices is not just about medical and nursing support for sick children, but enriching the lives of the children and their whole family.
Although we haven’t set a target for the amount to be raised, the Software Solved team is looking forward to doing their best to help this amazing charity.
“As a company, we felt the need to do more in our local community. Once we decided on having a charity of the year, we asked employees to nominate the organisations they’d like to raise money for. We decided to limit this to charitable organisations that operate within the South West because we are passionate about helping those in our community. With so many outstanding charities in the region creating a shortlist was no easy feat. In the end, we all felt compelled to help aid the fantastic work Children’s Hospice South West do. We are honoured to be helping them and hope we can raise a significant amount of money over the year in addition to promoting their organisation.”
The first fundraising effort to take place will be the £50 challenge. The Software Solved team has been given £50 by Children’s Hospice SW and two teams of employees will be battling it out to see which of them can generate the biggest return. The teams only have 2 weeks to turn this humble £50 into the largest amount possible.
