Tech Award Nomination for Software Solved

Tech South West Awards Shortlist 2019

Software Solved has been shortlisted for Tech Company of the Year in the 2019 Tech South West Awards.

The awards bring together the leading tech companies, initiatives, and individuals from Bath, Bristol, Cornwall and the Isle of Scilly, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Somerset, and Wiltshire! This truly is a celebration of the ‘best of the west’, and there is an array of world-leading innovations from finalists.

Tech South West supports and celebrates the region’s fastest-growing sector. We’re a firm believer that the South West has some of the best tech talents not only in the country but even in Europe. More than 10,900 tech companies across the South West are employing 135,713 people. This number is only going to grow as the region encourages and attracts top talent, inward investment and the best businesses head to the South West.

It’s important to recognise our talent, as the South West definitely punches above its weight in companies and people developing world-leading tech. The region is perfectly sized for success, and the most successful leading tech nations and regions tend to have a population of around 3 to 10 million. The South West shares certain characteristics with other world-leaders in tech: a need for fast-paced sustainable growth in tech, a clear desire for a certain kind of quality of life, and a high level of respect and care for the environment.

Toby Parkins, Chairman of Tech South West, said: “The South West is pushing the boundaries of technology and it’s brilliant to be celebrating that achievement with the Tech South West Awards. A huge congratulations to the brilliant entries who made it through to the shortlist – with so many extraordinary entries from a huge range of companies, individuals and initiatives, the judging process was incredibly difficult. ”

The winners will be announced at the Tech South West Awards ceremony on Wednesday 27 November at Exeter Castle.
