Join us at Software Solved based in the vibrant city of Exeter in the beautiful South West of England and discover the world of business on a one year placement.  It will offer you the chance to enhance your academic knowledge with real work experience.

As a company we are keen to learn from the next generation of Developers, Business Analysts or Project Managers and for them to contribute to the growth and development of Software Solved.

Software Solved has been running a successful undergraduate placement scheme since 2007.  This is a structured scheme with mentors in place for each individual and a portfolio of project work dependent on your skills, expertise and desires.  Several previous placement students have been employed by us upon graduation.

Skills Required for Undergraduate Developer?

You will need to demonstrate a solid knowledge of programming principles used in languages such as:

  • Python, Java, JavaScript
  • Microsoft .NET, C# or VB
  • Knowledge of RDBMS & SQL
  • Knowledge of WordPress

Skills Required for Business Analyst or Project Manager

Key skills essential for this placement are:

  • Organisational and planning skills
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical skills
  • Adaptability to work across multiple projects

Who is this for?

Students looking for a year’s placement to enrich their study plan with real work experience putting theoretical knowledge into practice.

How long?

One year’s placement from June 2020 – June 2021 depending on your University and course commitments.
