Founded in 2007 by passionate time critical logistics specialists, BDA Innovation has been proud to work with some of the market leading brands in sectors from agriculture and automotive to medical equipment supplies.
BDA were a rapidly growing logistics company with all the complex operational issues that go hand-in-hand with operating regular freight runs in and out of Europe.
BDA had a collection of Excel spreadsheets to manage billing and operations tasks; key personnel manually entered data into Excel from several sources to generate the requisite outputs including transport documentation.
Often the same data was entered multiple times, time that should have been spent delighting customers.
Automation and consolidation of manual, duplicated processes
Phase one of the project took the need for duplication of data entry away and delivered core operational and billing functionality to remove the reliance on multiple Excel spreadsheets.
This delivered consignments management for road and air transport, production of essential documents, client and service definition management, route and delivery point management as well as production of client invoices and summaries.
Software Solved moved on to write specs for a customer portal that would deliver real-time tracking functionality where clients could track the status and progress of a delivery.
