What is it like to be an Undergraduate at Software Solved?

We’re grateful to be based in the vibrant city of Exeter in the heart of the beautiful South West. A one-year placement with Software Solved will afford you an opportunity to discover the world of business and combine genuine work experience whilst enhancing your academic knowledge.

As a company we’re keen to learn from the next generation of developers, business analysts and project managers so we can continue to grow and develop.

We’ve been running a successful undergraduate placement scheme since 2007. This is a structured scheme with mentors in place for each individual and a portfolio of project work dependent on your skills, expertise and ambitions. Several placement students have been employed by us upon graduation.

One year placements start each Summer, dependant on your University and course commitments.

You will need to demonstrate a solid knowledge of programming principles used in languages such as:

  • Python, Java, Javascript
  • Microsoft .NET, C# or VB
  • Knowledge of RDBMS & SQL
  • Knowledge of WordPress

One year placements start each Summer, dependant on your University and course commitments.

We offer an excellent benefits package including 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, flexible working including the option of homeworking, company pension scheme, loyalty benefits and a company laptop. There’s a casual dress code, free tea and coffee plus social events too!

  • Verbal and written communication skills

  • Adaptability to work across multiple projects
